Interested in exploring open science and cloud practices? The NASA Openscapes DAAC Mentors, including the Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC), welcome applications to this spring’s 2024 NASA Openscapes Champions Cohort!
This mentorship program will comprise of up to seven environmental and Earth science research teams. Teams will work with NASA Openscapes mentors from NASA DAACs, including LP DAAC, to learn skills to enable open, inclusive, and collaborative scientific practices. Participating teams will also spend time experimenting and planning what their analytical workflows with NASA Earthdata look like in the Cloud. Participants are encouraged to attend as a team with their research group in a cohort with other teams, together learning how to reframe data-intensive science as a collaborative effort.

NASA Openscapes is now accepting nominations through March 1, 2024, and will begin its five biweekly cohort calls on April 3. We look forward to working with you as a cohort member later this spring!
