Questions/Comments • Re: Worldview: Why is there missing reflectance imagery in the Arctic/Antarctic?

When the Arctic or the Antarctic regions are in their respective winter times they receive little to no sunlight. This means that the land surface reflectance and corrected reflectance imagery layers are going to show a "hole" in the center of the images when you are in the Arctic or Antarctic projections. See an example of the Antarctic summertime view compared with the wintertime view. This only occurs with imagery requiring reflected sunlight; this brightness temperature layer does not require reflected sunlight, therefore the imagery is visible in the Antarctic winter.
