Can I Redistribute LP DAAC Data?

All current LP DAAC data and products have no restrictions on reuse, sale, or redistribution. The LP DAAC kindly requests that you properly cite the data in your research.

How Do I Cite a NASA Data Product?

The LP DAAC requests that any author using a NASA data product in their work provides credit for the data, and any assistance provided by the LP DAAC, in the data section of the paper, the acknowledgment section, and/or as a reference. Pre-populated citations for the product can be found on each DOI landing page for the product under the “Citation” section.

How Do I Cite a NASA Data Tool?

Tools that have recommended citations are provided on the individual tools page which can be found under "Data and Tools” on the LP DAAC Center page. AppEEARS will also include a pre-filled out citation in the email that is sent to you upon completion of processing.

How Do I Cite Information or Images Obtained from the LP DAAC?

If you obtained information or an image from the LP DAAC centers page, then we request that you provide information that can direct your reader to the LP DAAC centers page on Earthdata.

If you have any questions regarding data access, redistribution, or citation, please contact our User Services team https://www.earthdata.nasa.gov/centers/lp-daac/contact.
